Feature · Vision AI

Snap a photo. Get the full nutrition picture.

Logging meals by hand is the reason most people quit calorie tracking by week three. Enerium Vision AI removes that friction. You take one photo and the app does the boring part — recognising the dish, pulling its macros and putting the entry where it belongs.

What Vision AI actually does

Open the scanner, hold the phone steady for half a second, and the model returns three things at once: the most likely dish match, an estimated portion size, and a clean breakdown of calories, protein, fats and carbs. If the suggestion is off — say it confused chicken thigh for pork — you tap a different result and the entry updates. No typing, no searching through food lists, no scrolling.

Under the hood it is a computer-vision pipeline tuned on a wide catalogue of common groceries and prepared meals. It handles plates, bowls, packaging and labels. It is less reliable on blurry shots, mixed dishes piled on one plate, and exotic regional foods, so we always show confidence and let you correct.

Why a photo beats a search bar

Speed

Logging a meal takes about two seconds. Search-and-type usually runs eight to twelve.

Stickiness

People who log faster log more days in a row. Adherence — not perfection — is what actually moves weight, energy and recovery numbers.

Honesty

A photo is harder to game than a typed entry. You either point the camera or you do not. That little bit of friction tends to keep the journal closer to reality.

Context

Scans capture portion cues — bowl size, plate density, packaging size — that the model uses to estimate quantity, not just identity.

How it fits the rest of Enerium

Every scan flows into your daily diary, your weekly trend chart, and the meal-planner. If today is heavy on carbs, tomorrow’s suggested menu will tilt back the other way. If the fridge module sees you used up the eggs, the shopping list will know.

Vision AI is not a separate gadget — it is the front door to the whole system. That is the point: one ecosystem, not five disconnected apps trying to talk to each other.

Try it

Vision AI ships in Enerium Premium ($15/month) on iOS 15 and newer. The app itself is free to install; you can try the diary, hydration and calorie counter before deciding whether the AI surface is for you.
